The Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is a non-profit agency committed to providing quality support to adults with developmental disabilities in the Fort St. John and District since 1960. As a CARF accredited agency FSJACL boasts a professional staff team of over 80 employees dedicated to offering quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Youth Forensic Clinician to join our mental health team.
This position is part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) program a provincial initiative that provides specialized mental health assessment and treatment for youth involved with the criminal justice system.
As a Youth Forensic Clinician youll work in a job-share position with another FSJACL clinician to deliver trauma-informed evidence-based care. You will provide clinical support assessment and intervention for youth to help improve their mental and behavioral health outcomes while contributing to safer stronger communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment treatment and support for youth referred through YFPS.
- Collaborate with justice partners families and community services to develop holistic care plans.
- Document and maintain case notes in accordance with program and organizational standards.
- Participate in team meetings supervision and ongoing professional development.
Position Details
Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage: $40$50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Location: Fort St. John area with travel to Dawson Creek as required
Employment Type: Permanent full-Time
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology or a related field
- Reliable transportation for travel within the region
- Experience in youth mental health forensics or trauma-informed practice is an asset
