Food Services Lunch Monitor (Part-time)

Providence Hall is a charter school located in Herriman UT. Central to the schools mission is teaching students to think critically communicate effectively and act responsibly.

Providence Hall is accepting applications for part-time food services staff to join our team at our Elementary School campus.

Schedule:

• Up to 16 hours/week during the school year on days when students are present
• As early as 7am on scheduled school days
• As late as 2pm on scheduled school days
• Department building and LEA professional development trainings and meetings

Responsibilities:

• Monitor students during breakfast and/or lunch.
• Use the schools positive behavior intervention system to reward students.
• Wipe and clean tables.
• Sweep under tables.
• Assist students during meal times with items needing to be opened.
• Assist with breaking down the cafeteria tables.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the food services department and school in general.
• Maintain effective communication channels to ensure a collaborative school community.
  
• Actively participate in assigned meetings professional developments and other trainings.
  
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma GED or equivalent preferred.
• Possess an even temper and good work ethic.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask easily.
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain calm in high-stress situations.
• Willing to effectively problem-solving as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and its collaboration tools.
• Capacity to perform all the responsibilities listed in this posting.
• Work in a loud noisy environment around many youth.
• Obtain a Food Handlers permit within 2 weeks of starting work.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check including criminal history and professional references as a condition of employment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. traverse school facility and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency.
