We are seeking a Global Category Buyer - Spare Parts to manage and optimize the spare parts category on a global scale. This role involves overseeing procurement storage and distribution processes for spare parts and equipment implementing sourcing strategies and collaborating across business units to drive operational excellence.
In this position youll support internal teams in achieving their objectives assist in project scoping consolidate business needs manage RFP processes negotiate contracts and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement and follow up on action plans derived from category strategies collaborating with procurement networks and stakeholders.
- Support the execution of category strategies and sourcing activities.
- Develop and implement digital procurement solutions including PunchOut catalogues and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives aligned with business targets.
- Provide expertise in spare parts process improvement and supplier management.
- Lead global RFIs/RFPs negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Stay informed on industry trends benchmarking and market developments to bring innovative solutions.
- Report on sourcing activity performance savings and risk management.
- Champion procurement excellence including sustainability compliance and quality practices.
- Act as a change agent to foster innovation and global collaboration.
Requirements- Experience: Minimum 4 years in procurement with expertise in maintenance and spare parts management (pharma industry experience is a plus).
- Skills and Expertise:
- Strong technical knowledge of spare parts management reverse engineering and related technologies.
- Proficiency in inventory management SAP MM module CMMS tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated success in project management crisis management and remote maintenance deployment.
- Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability to new environments and a collaborative team spirit.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a relevant field.
- Languages: Fluent in English both written and spoken
