About the company

NoviCap allows businesses to get pre-payment for their outstanding invoices.

Between 2009 and 2014 the amount of lending of spanish banks to spanishbusinesses has decreased by 65%. Adding insult to injury businesses areforced by large companies to accept increasingly longer payment terms on theirinvoices.

NoviCap is on a mission to help spanish businesses to survive these two trendsby turning outstanding invoices into a source of capital presenting them withan alternative to bank loans when they need to improve their cashflow.

We are backed by top-tier accelerators such as Techstars and Seedrocket.

The role is best suitable for somebody who loves learning and has the capacityto understand the rails magic that goes on and will someday create their ownmagic.

About us

Test driven (cucumber rspec capybara)
Stack is Ruby on Rails postgresql and runs on heroku and AWS
We love view-models and presenters
We do continuous integration and code reviews
We fix bugs before we add new features

Skills & Requirements

About you

Proven experience in developing deploying and maintaining non-trivial Rails projects.
You love Git and object oriented programming
Familiarity with the most common Ruby Gems
Capable of working independently and in small teams
An entrepreneurial and can-do attitude.
Strong attitude to testing
Curious by nature and love exploring new technologies
Some experience with ruby metaprogramming
Professional proficiency in English
Fluent in Spanish

Things that will get us excited about you

You have side projects or contributed to open source
You know how to roll your own gems
You have devops experience with Chef or puppet
MSc. Computer Science degree
Experience with security (OWASP top ten privilege escalation bastion hosts...)
Java experience
