Senior Account Executive - Global Tech Sales Public Sector - Wales

The Global Tech Sales division of Gartner supports IT leaders at C-Suite level to drive positive change. Leveraging Gartners objective research & expertise clients are able to make quicker decisions and safeguard investments.

About Gartner Public Sector:

Our Public Sector sales division provides research insights and guidance to CIOs and CTOs within various public sector verticals such as Central/Local Government Security & Defence Tax Healthcare and Housing. Gartner delivers actionable objective insight to executives and their teams by leveraging Gartners objective research & expertise clients are able to make quicker decisions in order to achieve their mission critical priorities. This particular role will be focused on the healthcare and local government accounts within Wales.

What to expect:

As a Senior Account Executive within Global Tech Sales LE youll be partnering with CIOs/ CTOs of some the Worlds leading Enterprises to meaningfully help them achieve their Mission Critical Priorities and drive growth of their business. The Senior Account Executive is a field-based direct sales role responsible for both client retention as well as growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartners products and services.

What youll do:

  • Account management with an outcome of increased customer satisfaction and an increase in retention and account growth

  • Quota responsibility of $800000 of contract value within a territory of major client accounts

  • Mastery and consistent execution of Gartners sales methodology

  • Account planning and territory management

  • Managing forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis

  • Maintaining competitive knowledge and focus

  • In-depth knowledge of Gartners products and services

What youll bring to the team:

  • 8-15 years of experience with proven consultative sales preferably in high technology (services software or consultative environment) with evidence of prior success in Sales

  • Strong demonstration of intellect drive executive presence and sales acumen

  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organisations

  • Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process

  • Bachelors or Masters degree desired
