As the next transportation technician you would be responsible for:

• Performing construction and quality control inspection activities designed to ensure that highways bridges and allied transportation facilities are built to the plans and specifications contained in contractual construction agreements.
• Performing engineering technical support activities including materials testing inspection and compliance.
• Ensuring material acceptance activities are within standards and specifications.
• Performing surveying technical work and providing assistance in the surveying of roads building sites bridges environmental sites and determination of land boundaries under the guidance of a professional surveyor.
• Performing technical traffic activities designed to enhance highway safety and user efficiency through the collection analysis and application of traffic and highway safety data and principles to specific traffic control signs signaling and marking situations.
• Laying out drawings of new or existing facilities roadways bridges properties and maps.

The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (8) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E10) level. Based on education and experience candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.
