Job Summary

As a Director of Engineering at Hungerstation youll:
Youll tackle highimpact challenges that make lastmile delivery efficient affordable and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders end customers and vendors across Saudi Arabia. Each enhancement you contribute will help HungerStation optimize delivery operations supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.
Lead and Scale HighPerforming Teams: Directly manage 36 engineering managers staff level individual contributors and oversee an organization of 30 engineers fostering a highperformance culture clarity of expectations and alignment with organizational goals.
Define and Execute Strategic Vision: Develop and implement technical and team strategies that align with business objectives ensuring your tribe delivers impactful and scalable solutions.
Drive Business Impact Through Collaboration: Build and maintain strong partnerships with Product and Operations leaders to align on priorities OKRs and roadmaps ensuring your tribes work directly contributes to business success.
- Promote a Culture of Transparency and Growth: Foster open communication accountability and continuous improvement by providing 360degree feedback and sharing achievements and failures across the engineering community.
Qualifications :
Fluency in English and Arabic with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Previous experience working in the Saudi market and/or with startups.
Demonstrated expertise in leading highly performing engineering teams preferably within KSAbased technology startups.
Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable products.
Prior experience in building and managing complex systems.
A bachelors degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Tenured people leader: experience leading senior people (staff & principal engineers senior managers)
nice to have Strong Computer Science fundamentals: algorithms mathematics academic background a basic understanding of data science machine learning
