The What: At Blackwave GmbH we develop high-performance Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels (COPVs) for aerospace and next-generation mobility applicationscombining lightweight design with maximum structural safety.

• Perform structural and strength analyses for mechanical components and assemblies

• Support static dynamic and thermal calculations

• Create execute and evaluate FEA / CAE simulations

• Interpret simulation results and derivedesign optimization recommendations

• Contribute to thedesign verification and validation of structural components

• Collaborate closely with design development and testing teams

• Assist in defining and evaluatingload cases boundary conditions and material properties

• Prepare technical documentation and analysis reports

• Actively contribute to engineering projects with a strong hands-on mindset

• Entry level: No prior full-time professional experience required

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Automotive Engineering Materials Science Civil Engineering Industrial Engineering (with strong technical focus) or a comparable technical field

• Relevant hands-on experience gained through working student positions internships or comparable technical university projects (e.g. Formula Student WARR) is mandatory

• Experience in finite element modeling and simulation of composite and metallic structures

• Solid understanding of structural mechanics fundamentals (e.g. strength stiffness load paths)

• Knowledge of composite and metallic material behavior

• Ability to interpret simulation results and apply sound engineering judgment

• Experience in technical documentation and clear engineering communication

• Experience with programming or automation for analysis (e.g. Python scripting parametric workflows) is beneficial

• Business fluent English skills (C-Level) German skills beneficial
