Your role with CBCL:
As our ideal candidate you have an interest in the design and construction oversight of infrastructure projects in the following areas: water transmission and distribution wastewater collection and pumping stormwater infrastructure residential/industrial/commercial developments and roadway systems.
We are seeking individuals who are excited to work with an established team of professional engineers and technologists in delivering innovative multidisciplinary design solutions with an emphasis on client satisfaction. More specifically you will:
- Conduct data collection activities including topographic survey and infrastructure investigations.
- Assist in the development of conceptual preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for the full range of civil/municipal infrastructure including water distribution sanitary sewer collection systems pump stations stormwater management roadway systems etc.
- Provide construction oversight on construction sites with the support of other senior team members.
- Support the day-to-day activities of projects from inception through engineering design construction and contract administration.
- Prepare technical reports and cost estimates.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Diploma in engineering technology or equivalent combined with an interest in consulting engineering as a career.
- Have an interest in municipal and heavy civil construction projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcMap would be an asset.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Be available to work overtime.
- Have a valid Drivers License and be willing to travel occasionally.
