Part-Time Temporary Educational Assistant

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.90 f.t.e.) Temporary Educational Assistant atPeace River High School . This position will commence on January 19 2026 and continue until June 26 2026. The successful candidate will be working 1-1 small group settings and classroom supoort for grades 9-11.

Peace River High School is located in the town of Peace River serving approximately 270 students in grades 9-12.

Peace River is a town in northwest Alberta. It is along the banks of the Peace River at its confluence with the Smoky River the Heart River and Pats Creek. Qualifications:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.
• Ability to work with children with varied ages skills level needs and abilities

Skills:

• Willingness to be part of a learning team take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
• Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
• Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs
• Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.

This is a union position under the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division.

Rate of Pay:

$22.59 to $28.02 per hour(dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
