General Foreman II

Must provide daily leadership coordination and oversight of craft crews in a refinery or petrochemical environment. This role is essential to ensuring safe highâquality and efficient field execution while upholding Austin Industrial procedures client expectations and industry safety standards.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise craft foremen and skilled craft teams during daily operations maintenance activities and turnarounds.
  • Provide coaching mentoring and performance feedback to craft personnel.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and consistent communication.
  • Plan and coordinate labor materials equipment and work sequencing to meet schedules and project requirements.
  • Monitor job progress identify challenges and implement timely solutions to maintain productivity and work quality.
  • Collaborate regularly with operations engineering planning and contractor partners to support project execution.
  • Enforce site safety policies safe work practices and permitâtoâwork requirements.
  • Lead daily safety meetings toolbox talks and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards refinery regulations and Austin Industrial procedures.
  • Review and interpret blueprints technical drawings job plans and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports time sheets work orders and safety records.
  • Utilize SAP CMMS tools or scheduling systems to track and support work activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

License/Certification: Valid drivers license and ability to meet site access requirements

Experience: 5 years of industrial or refinery experience in a skilled craft trade or maintenance environment.

  • 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience (Foreman or higher).
  • Experience in a refinery or petrochemical facility (strongly preferred).
  • Multiâcraft or turnaround experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (SAP or similar).
  • Strong understanding of refinery safety practices work permits and hazard recognition.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents drawings schedules and job plans.
  • Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.
