Location: Brooklyn NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (No Extensions)
Schedule: Day Shift MondayFriday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Travel Rate: $3397 per week

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Travel Nurse Educator Labor & Delivery (L&D)for an exciting job in Brooklyn NY.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Education

• Design deliver and evaluate in-service education and training programs for Labor & Delivery and Medical/Surgical nursing staff

• Ensure educational content reflects current evidence-based practices and clinical standards

Staff Development

• Provide hands-on coaching mentoring and clinical guidance to support staff competency and professional growth

• Promote best practices in maternal neonatal and acute care nursing

Competency Validation

• Assess document and maintain nursing competencies in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

Clinical Resource

• Act as a subject matter expert for complex L&D and Med/Surg clinical scenarios

• Support bedside staff with clinical decision-making and best-practice guidance

Quality Improvement

• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational gaps

• Implement targeted learning initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care quality

Position Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience (required)

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience (required)

• Demonstrated experience in acute care hospital settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited program (required)

• Masters Degree in Nursing Education or related field (strongly preferred)

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Primary source license verification through NYSED

• Current AHA BLS certification
