Senior Designer (Application owner)

Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)

We are looking for a team member to strengthen our Application Engineer and design capacity (Distributed Platforms) to be the strategic and technical leader responsible for all distributed applications within the Tax domain that are managed by the GBS ASTRA tribe.

Your Role

• Guide and support IT developers in making improvements to application software running in production
• Support application software running in production by fixing problems and making improvements (incl. problem management root cause analysis solution design reducing technical debt etc)
• Coordinate any application changes (e.g.: upgrades migrations ) or associated infrastructure changes
• Take on the role of Application Owner serving as the main point of contact for application-related inquiries and support
• Maintain Technical and Functional documentation Production support document
• Produce program specifications for sophisticated or critical applications and be responsible for the quality review of the implementation and test processes
• Ensure accurate event management monitoring alerts of application failure (technical & functional)
• Service Offering & SLA : Ensure technical framework can support defined Service offering & SLA
• Undertake systems designs and contribute to the supervision and/or validation of the development process collaborating with colleagues when vital for detailed analysis and coding activities
• Application security & resiliency: Error handling Restart-ability Recovery Backup (Service Continuity Availability of the applications
• Participate in Hotline (daylight support) and Watch Duty (overnight support) for developing/maintaining applications - support production software by fixing problems and managing enhancements
• Vulnerability Management of Application(s)
• Able to take the lead and play the Feature Design Owner role for Business Value Features
• Estimate the effort commit and track deviations
• Handle Software Upgrades and Lifecycle Management of Applications
• Handle Audits.

Your Profile

• Minimum 3 years in application support/development with experience in designing sophisticated solutions
• Technical skills: Windows Platform SQL SSIS file transfers network.
• Good Knowledge on Data extraction data transformation and data load processes (SSIS packages development experience is helpful).
• Good understanding of SLA-1 applications
• Have a true agile approach capable and willing to tackle tasks outside of their strengths to help the team
• Have full knowledge of all phases of applications design as well as a good understanding of the application development and testing phases
• Excellent analytical skills with effective and creative problems solving skills with the ability to identify issues and fix or identify the internal resources to assist.
