Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled professional who is recognized as an expert and thought leader in the area of Strategic Communications and Nuclear Command Control and Communications (NC3). This role leverages broad experience in the acquisition deployment and operation of strategic communications systems within the U.S. Government. Responsible for managing large complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the U.S. Government and L3Harris involving large cross-functional teams. They recommend tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall government and L3Harris goals and objectives. An understanding of the Senior Leader Communications System (SLCS) which specializes in developing adaptive next-generation technologies for advanced Ground and Airborne Systems within the National Leader Continuity Communications (NLCC) and Nuclear Command Control and Communications (NC3). The Senior Leader Network Programs reports directly to the Director Strategic Networks.
Essential Functions:
- Engages internal and external stakeholders to drive performance ultimately accountable for programs quality cost schedule and performance.
- Utilizes strong leadership skills to influence others to adopt the teams views/practices and accept new concepts practices and approaches.
- Frequently conducts briefings to senior leaders and customers with an understanding and competency towards NLCC and NC3 systems architecture.
- Recommends tactics and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall government and L3Harris objectives.
- Establishes tactics for groups with short- to mid-term impact on results (e.g. 1-2 years) and strategic plans for longer-term (3-5 years) impact.
- Works independently under consultative direction against milestones and goals.
- Establishes and achieves educational and training goals in Senior Leader Communications and NC3 providing guidance coaching and training to employees across the company.
- Improves existing processes or creates new systems through conceptualizing reasoning and interpretation while developing and championing new concepts or technologies.
- Extensively analyzes problems to understand the root cause including broad-based consideration of relevant variables.
- Develops specific courses of action that take into account the overall impact on Government and L3Harris objectives.
- Responsible for following all company policies and code of conduct.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Senior Leader Communications Strategic Communications and Nuclear Command Control and Communications (NC3) experience
- Current Top Secret clearance
Preferred Additional Qualifications/Skills:
- TS/SCI clearance on previous programs is highly desirable
- Mastery level knowledge of Senior Leader Communications and NC3 domain typically obtained through advanced education and practical experience in Government and/or industry
- Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers within Government and industry
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $125000 - $232000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits including health and disability insurance 401(k) match flexible spending accounts EAP education assistance parental leave paid time off and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire schedule type and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
