Overview
The Psychology Associate II will assist the Psychologist in providing clinical services supervision and case management for outpatient cases as specified by the Clinic Director or other member of the departmental leadership team. This position will collaborate with department staff and supervisors as well as other internal Kennedy Krieger departments as needed. The incumbent will participate in provision of clinical services as well as programs of systematic research.
Responsibilities
1. Provide clinical services to include developing and implementing treatment plans monitoring patient progress and maintaining patient files through timely documentation.
2. Provide supportive clinical services to families of outpatients.
3. Participate in research projects involving the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders.
4. Provide supervision and training for appropriate staff.
5. Participate in administrative clinical and training meetings as necessary.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be approved as a Psychology Associate by the Maryland Board of Psychologists.
Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.
EDUCATION:
Masters degree in clinical counseling or school psychology or equivalent as recognized by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years of experience in an interdisciplinary setting working with children with and without disabilities required.
Experience supporting patients with challenging behavior and emotion dysregulation is highly desirable.
