What Youll Do
- Develop knowledge of CNS Procurement procedures and perform reviews to ensure compliance with government regulations DOE/NNSA contract and CNS policies and procedures.
- Perform audits of activities and functions to measure the health of programs and identify opportunities enhancements to policies and procedures.
- Advise on development and maintenance of documents associated with CNSs procurement processes which include guidelines clauses procedures and the CNS Procurement Process Description.
- Process supplier and subcontractor requests to CNSs standard Terms and Conditions.
- Create and maintain database to track deviations to CNSs standard Terms and Conditions.
- Foster effective working relationships with internal working group Procurement Operations Ethics Internal Audit Quality and Performance Assurance organizations at within CNS.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- OR Masters degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- OR 10 or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
- NNSA/DOE Maintenance & Operating procurement compliance experience
- Understanding of business and commercial law practices
- Working knowledge of CNS procurement system and integrated policies & procedures
- Experience with Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) or Procurement Evaluation & Re-Engineering Teams (PERT)
- Interaction with federal auditing agencies such the Inspector Generals office Defense Contract Audit Agency and Defense Contract Management Agency
- Demonstrated ability to research procurement issues through various resources
- Must be able to deal with ambiguity and change.
- Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain management with a focus on procurement operations.
- Knowledge of federal acquisitions regulations.
- An understanding of government sub-contracting and the flow-down of applicable clauses and requirements.
- Experience with procurement best practices standards and methodologies.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects and one time.
- Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with internal and external organizations.
