Job Title: Metalworking Operator - Snowplow
Location:Bedford PA
Shift: 1st :Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm
Job Summary and Mission:
Operate horizontal power feed milling machines to mill snowplow blades.
Education Work Experience Skills Certificates
- This position works under the supervision of the Supervisor - Manufacturing or in his/her absence the designee. Duties are performed without constant supervision. Assignments are made daily and results are reviewed daily or as needed.
- This position requires:
- 6 months of manufacturing experience is preferred;
- A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
- Completion of basic math blueprint reading and gauge-reading training;
- The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers;
- Operate forklifts operators license.
Accountabilities:
- Set-up and operate mill and shear;
- Set-up and operate drill and punch presses;
- Set-up and operate brazing equipment to braze various products;
- Assemble carbide to blades for braze process;
- Inspect paint straighten and package finished product;
- Changes tools adjusts and/or sets up shears or milling machines including selecting proper cutters determining feeds and speeds and replacing cutters when dull as required;
- Assist other operators as needed.
