The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (DME) part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark offers a part-time position (15.01.2026 31.06.2026) as a Drone Pilot Student Helper for selected drone activities.
The Department for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is located in the inspiring building of Alsion that is place of residence for a number of enterprises in the Science Park: South Jutland Symphony Orchestra and the concert hall of Alsion. Thus the university has close bonds to the industrial as well as the cultural environment of Sønderborg.
The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is seeking for a candidate that will take part in testing of various drones as well as assist with developing and building new drone prototypes. The department offers all tools necessary for a full manufacturing process including various modern 3D printers laser cutters 3D scanners among classic manufacturing methods.
Alongside drone piloting competences the student helper is expected to have insight into drone electronics 3D printing and mechanics of flight.

Note: The weekly number of hours will average a maximum of 10 hours per week.
The number of hours will vary depending on the tasks meaning that some weeks there may be 0 hours of work and other weeks more hours but on average over the entire period it will not exceed 10 hours per week. this will be agreed internally.
