The Program Support Specialist (PSS) is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the front office and must project a professional agency image through in-person and phone interactions. Duties include clerical duties processing new referrals and supportive functions as needed for Potomac Community Services programs to operate in an efficient and effective manner The PSS provides program management support for the program manager and/or designee through preparing routine program and correspondence documentation/reports and completing quality assurance projects/documentation/education and other identified measures to improve quality of care.
This position requires planning prioritization and issue resolution of overall activities in the support of and achievement of program and/or client goals. Additionally completing assignments and documentation must be done independently accurately and within compliance of funding/grant sources as well as according to pertinent federal state and local regulations. It may be necessary for the PSS to provide supportive services for PCS clients in various programs as designated by the program manager.
- Willing to work in/travel between our two offices in Taneytown and Westminster
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Human Services Health Information or related field preferred but not required.
- Knowledgeable regarding community-based resources related to mental health and case management preferred.
- Ability to provide structure and support to behavioral/social programs offered by agency.
- Professional with excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Organizational skills and detail-oriented work is essential.
- Working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license dependable transportation and vehicle insurance.
