TheManager People & Culture plays a critical role in that journey. This position sits at the management table partnering closely with the CEO and management team to build the systems programs and culture needed to support a fast-growing values-driven organization. This is not a back-office HR role. Its a hands-on strategic leadership role for someone who knows how to connect people strategy to business outcomes and isnt afraid to build improve and challenge whats needed to help the company scale well.
Job Summary
As Manager of People & Cultureyoullbe the architect and operator of Clearbridges people systems from hire to retire and everything in between. This is a strategic leadership position whereyoull sit at the management table partner directly with the CEO and build scalable programs that connect our people strategy to our business vision.
Youllown the full employee lifecycleand willbe the connective tissue across the organization translating business goals into people programs and people insights into business decisions.
This role is for someone who thrives in fast-paced high-growth environments and can move with equal confidence between strategy sessions and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition
- Lead annual workforce planning to align hiring needs with business growth
- Build and execute recruitment strategies that attract A-players
- Develop Clearbridges employer brand and talentpipeline.
- Support hiring managers through structured high-quality hiring processes
Onboarding & Development
- Design and deliver Clearbridges onboarding experience leveragingHRISand internal programs
- Create and run manager onboardingsessions
- Manage training and development programs including leveraging job grants and skill-building initiatives
Employee Relations & Performance
- Serve as the trusted advisor for employee relations issues from performance gaps to complex interpersonal dynamics
- Coach managers through difficult conversations and performance management
- Proactivelyidentifyand resolve friction points before they escalate
Total Rewards & Recognition
- Manageand administerannual performance review cycles compensation planning and pay increases bonus programming(including budgetingpartnership with Finance)
- Benefits program ownership
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and execute All Hands meetings company events (e.g. holiday parties) and ad-hoc engagement initiatives (e.g. Lunch & Learns)
- Monitor and improve employee engagement through surveys feedback loops and action planning
- Be the keeper and champion of Clearbridges culture and values
Systems & Operations
- Build HR dashboards and reporting to inform leadership decisions
- Ensure compliance withemployment lawemploymentstandardsand HR best practices
Qualifications
- 58 years of progressive HR experience most recently in a generalist capacity
- CPHR designation (or actively pursuing)
- Demonstrated experience building and managing HR programs from scratch in a high-growth or scaling environment
- Strong employee relations skills witha track recordof handling sensitive situations with discretion and fairness
- Experience managing annual performance cycles compensation planning and benefits programs
- Proficiencywith HRIS systems (BambooHR experience is a plus)
- Exceptional communication skills: you can translate complex HR topics for executives managers and employees alike
- Business acumen: you connect people programs to business outcomes
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)
- Track recordof working directly with a CEO or founder in a fast-paced environment
