POSITION SCOPE

A Scale Attendant is responsible for accurately and efficiently monitoring and recording materials exiting the work area.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Determine material exiting pit to properly bill the customers
Receive payment from customers; provide receipts to customers
Balance the daily receipts to ensure accurate recordkeeping and appropriate billing
Answer the telephone and provide general information to callers
Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Acts in a professional courteous and cooperative manner towards customers and co-workers
Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Companys safety standards; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness
Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to use a wide range of scales accurately
Good attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Experience in a previous position that required the handling of cash and balancing cash and/or receipts
Experience in an environment outside the home with computers and various software programs
Precision
Attention to detail
Ability to work with a range of measuring tools
Analytical
Organized
Able to work collaboratively
