Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) CCU / Adult ICU
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Location - Syracuse NY
Position Overview
Seeking experienced night shift Registered Nurses for Adult ICU / Critical Care units. Nurses will be placed on the appropriate ICU unit based on clinical background and experience. This role requires strong acute care skills with the ability to function independently with minimal orientation.
Extended time off requests exceeding seven (7) consecutive days cannot be accommodated.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in an acute care ICU environment
Perform advanced patient assessments and deliver evidence-based nursing interventions
Manage high-acuity patients with minimal supervision following orientation
Collaborate effectively with physicians care teams and ancillary staff
Document patient care accurately and timely using an electronic medical record system
Adhere to hospital policies patient safety standards and professional nursing practices
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU or acute care experience (within the last 2 years)
Experience in hospitals of similar or higher acuity including Level I or Level II Trauma Centers
Prior experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred
Ability to work night shifts every other weekend and select holidays
Excellent interpersonal communication and clinical assessment skills
Additional Requirements
No history of professional license suspension or active investigation
No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Verification of legal authorization to work in the United States
Successful completion of pre-employment health screening
Subject to drug screening and criminal background check
Preferred Experience
Trauma ICU experience
Prior travel nursing experience in large acute care or trauma facilities
