Could you be the next Manufacturing Engineer in Dandenong on a 6month fixedterm contract were looking for

Your future role

Reporting directly to the Product Industrialization Manager you will be directly supporting Production for the serial build metro rail vehicle. You will define and validate the detailed manufacturing processes develop industrial documentation for the project define industrial master data and drive continuous improvement actions and changes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop improve and validate manufacturing processes for a new product
  • Analyzing production workflows to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with safety quality and environmental regulations
  • Prepare cost calculations for all workstation tooling requirement
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process change

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Degree in Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related field)
  • Desirable : certification in welding engineering (eg. AS 1786 8G GMAW welding AS 2214 welding supervisor IWS - international welding inspector or similar)
  • Relevant experience in Manufacturing background preferably in the railway industry
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and writing work instructions
