Responsibilities

Located in the heart of Californias Central Valley Clovis Community Medical Center is known for delivering advanced medical care with a patient-first approach. Our 352 all-private rooms provide comfort and privacy while our reputation as one of the Valleys leading hospitals reflects our commitment to excellence. We offer comprehensive services across emergency care ICU surgery telemetry and more supported by nationally recognized accreditations in stroke cancer heart care surgical services and other specialties.   • Originate and implement best practices to ensure the safe and appropriate use of medications.
  • Spearhead efforts to analyze and investigate medication errors from current operational clinical and technological perspectives.
  • Develop maintain and report the annual performance improvement strategies for the Medication Error Reduction Plan (MERP).
  • Work as a liaison between physicians nurses and ancillary departments to ensure best practices for medication safety are in place.
  • Educate pharmacy team members and other clinicians to promote safe medication practices.
  • Develop educational programs to improve patient and medication safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy required
  • 5 years of experience in operational and clinical areas of pharmacy operations required

Licenses and Certifications

  • RPH - Registered Pharmacist with valid State of California Pharmacist License required
