Job Description

Seeking experienced night-shift Registered Nurses for a high-volume Adult Emergency Department with exposure to pediatric patients as required. The ideal candidate will be confident managing a wide range of emergent conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is strongly preferred. Candidates should be proficient in emergency nursing skills and comfortable working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records.

Shifts will include every other weekend and some holidays. Fixed schedules and excessive time-off requests may not be approved.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New York
BLS certification (must be current and eligible for recertification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Department or acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a comparable hospital setting
Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
Adult and Pediatric ER experience required
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance drug screening and criminal background check

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform rapid and comprehensive nursing assessments in the Emergency Department
Provide high-quality patient care across varying acuity levels with minimal supervision
Manage emergency interventions for adult and pediatric patients
Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary emergency care teams
Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
Maintain compliance with hospital policies clinical guidelines and safety standards
