Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer who will work independently within Tetra Paks project and pre-project teams working in the New Zealand dairy and food industry. The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the technical components of Process Automation and Utility engineering in projects. They are responsible for overseeing scope budget quality and schedule adherence in the areas they are managing. Additionally they have the ability to manage smaller projects and lead small teams within larger projects fostering collaboration and coordination both domestically and internationally to achieve project objectives effectively.
What you will do
- Manage smaller projects and lead small teams within larger projects.
- Provide process engineering technical support to pre-projects and sales.
- Take responsibility for technical solutions design specification and drawings in projects.
- Proactively communicate with other colleagues and have technical discussions with customers and suppliers in projects.
- Travel to the customer site as needed for the installation and commissioning phases.
- Manage scope changes and propose variation orders.
- Lead and provide process engineering support to issue and claim resolution including root cause analysis in projects.
- Breakdown and plan the project into phases and fulfil the project milestones in full and in accordance with the budget.
- Drive the use of reusable solutions and processes to secure productivity.
- Validate and review technical solutions for projects.
- Develop and improve processes templates and tools.
- Mentor and train junior Process Engineers.
- Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak.
We believe you have
- Engineering or Technical UniversityDegree.
- Senior Process Engineer experience.
- Demonstrated people management skills.
- Project management experience on smaller projects.
- The ability to mentor and give appropriate feedback to junior engineers in the project team.
- Proven relevant process engineering experience in the dairy and food industries.
- Demonstrated technical skills installation experience commissioning expertise and knowledge of customer operations on site.
- An open approach with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Flexibility to travel overseas to lead and support projects.
