Global Legal plays an important role in protecting the Groups reputation by helping to future-proof the organisation through robust legal risk and issue advisory. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management and all global businesses and functions the team offers a diverse range of legal skills jurisdictional experience and practice specialisms across all countries and territories in which our businesses operate.
We are currently seeking a professional to join the Global Payment Solutions team in the role of Senior Legal Counsel on a part time 12 month fixed term contract working as part of a job share with a focus on customer E Channels with banking corporate commercial and IT/Digital law concepts. Having a working knowledge of the laws in the major jurisdictions in which HSBC operates would be beneficial but not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payments/digital lawyer with a curious and commercial mindset seeking a balanced flexible role which will entail providing high-quality strategic advice in a seamless manner with their job share partner.

The base location for this role is London with a hybrid working pattern (working Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays to ensure full coverage of the role).
