What Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer contributes to Cardinal Health
The IT Client System team is searching for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. This role will primarily lead in utilizing various technology and strategies used to manage and analyze data in the organization.
The primary application will be Power BI and Tableau; However this position may support other applications.
Responsibilities
- Designing and managing the BI tools and applications environment
- Developing ETL pipelines for production
- Coding testing and documenting data systems and processes
- Create and maintain accurate documentation and reusable test cases
- Create proofs of concept
- Train other data analytics team members on best practices and protocols
- Meet/exceed application maintenance and support SLAs
- Report KPIs to leadership
- Use ServiceNow to create and manage enhancements and change requests
- Document and test application resiliency plans
- Implements solutions that comply with all necessary regulatory compliance measures and requirements.
- Comply with all required policies and procedures such as compliance policies audit and security requirements etc.
- Assist the application solution owner with defining the long-term strategies for the applications
- Ensure the applications align with the organizations goals and follows EIT standards
- Work with vendors to understand the applications roadmap
- Occasionally assist with IT centric complex projects of large scope
- This position may take on other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or a combination of equivalent experience and qualifications
- Working knowledge of SQL (ability to write SQL queries and reports)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated technical experience in data mining and data analytics
- Experience working with databases ETL (extract transform load) pipelines and data pipelines
- Excellent data interpretation and management skills
Preferred
- Tableau and Power BI Experience
- Data Mining / Big Data (Data Lake/ Data Warehouse) experience
- Investigative analysis of an organizations past performance and data
- Analyzing large amounts of raw data to identify patterns and extract meaningful insights.
- Present data through graphics or other visual aids to make data-driven insights easy to understand and communicate with users/audiences.
