Job Title: PMO Lead

As part of the PMO team supporting a PMO Manager the primary objective is to support on oversight challenge and assurance activity.
This is an opportunity to get involved in the current and future Portfolio of Change at Royal London within a varied Portfolio and sub-Portfolio -Portfolios are executed utilising both Agile and Waterfall methodologies you will ensure the appropriate Governance insights delivery and outcome reporting are timely and accurate in line with methodology to drive decision making across the Portfolio.
You will work as part of a team either at Sub-Portfolio or Portfolio level working with Senior PMO Managers and PMO Managers.
About the role
- Undertake sub-portfolio / portfolio analysis of plans change logs risk & issues registers finances benefits and dependency networks providing regular and accurate inputs.
- Support in embedding standardised processes for governance financial control RAID planning and status reporting.
- Compile aggregated reporting with insight as appropriate for programme or portfolio governance as directed by the PMO Manager.
- Take proactive action to investigate areas of uncertainty / risk of deviation from plans. Recommend and monitor corrective action.
- Evaluate appraise and identify non-compliances with standards and determine whether appropriate quality control has been applied.
- Create highly professional communications in relevant media appropriate to the audience.
About you
- Demonstrable PMO experience in delivering a wide range of projects and programmes within a financial service environment.
- Be a pro-active support to the PMO Manager and other stakeholders with the ability to obtain buy-in and build consensus.
- An ability to unpick analyse and challenge complex discrepancies by reviewing underpinning data.
- Can identify actions and outputs quickly and effectively to benefit the change associated with the programme / portfolio success.
- Embrace ambiguity and address programme / portfolio challenges with decision making and independent action.
- Future thinking and proactive around the management and control of programme/portfolio costs and benefits.
- Strong experience of PPM tools and Microsoft applications.
- Experience of both Agile and Waterfall models and their application within a PMO.
- Experience operating in a Portfolio environment tracking many projects simultaneously.
