Serves in support of the PACS Project Enterprise wide for Beaumont Health - The systems specialist provides user support education and training on a variety of image viewing validation and acquistion devices in numerous sites of service. (EG: Radiology Cardiology Nuclear Medicine ECHO & Vascular Lab Fetal Imaging O.R. E.C. ECT..) Responsible to support the imaging staff including; physicians technologists & support staff - - comprising the PACS program. Interacts with a wide variety of departments physicians and vendors to insure efficient workflow and system performance. Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Support of all Imaging Applications including but not limited to PACS Powerscribe Q-Path GE Viewpoint ISCV Intellispace Portal -and modality workflow -. Tasks include training workflow assessment backup disaster recovery and performance monitoring.
Install and train users on new equipment that send to PACS other than the modalities; i.e. Document scanners and PowerScribe.
Assist in performance issues and system monitoring via remote diagnostic capabilities and in conjunction with vendor and IS support.
Liaison between clinical services technical staff software and equipment vendors and Hospital system users and other job duties as assigned.
Meetings/reports other duties as assigned.
Provide one on one and class-room instruction for new users including - Radiology students Residents & Radiologists.
Assist Radiologist/Clinicians with preparation for Tumor Board conferences.
This position interacts with image producing Divisions their customers and all users of PACS to optimize the electronic capabilities of the program.
Provide on site coverage during scheduled downtimes.
This position will be involved in the on-call rotations and coverage of the department 24 hours/7 days a week including holidays. This will include rotation in the call center Monday through Friday during business hours.
Scheduled rounding to all sites to ensure and monitor workflows with physicians technologists and department leads.
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education
Extensive background in imaging modalities with technical/computer skills required.
Preferred
Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program
Imaging background in Radiology or Cardiology.
