About The Role

Job Title:Senior Software Engineer Cloud

Location:Guilford Connecticut

This role is for talented Software Engineers with applied experience in building modern cloud services and web applications. The goal of this role is todesign anddevelop key software systems for remote setup management and monitoring of our fleet of devices and ingestion storage visualization and retrieval of data at a large scale. This engineer will work closely withothersoftware engineers product managers UI/UX designers and subject matter expertsacross the organizationto implement solutions for a wide range of challenging clinical problems in MRI aimed at improving patient outcomes.Across theorganizationthey will make a significant contribution to the companys overall vision of developing cloud services with a delightful look and feel.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop software systems and cloud applications withfocuson maintenance extensibility integration and security of data storage and retrieval.
Quickly learn new tooling platforms and frameworks when building and developing microservices and APIs.
Adoption of new policies technologies and practices as well as the evolution of existing methodologies.
Implement comprehensive medical web application systems for multiple large-scale internal and external facing projects and document the design and specifications for internal and regulatory documentation.
Participate in the code review process.
Collaborate with software and cross-functional teams in design and technical reviews.
Definehigh-level architecture design and implement software solutionsassumeaccountabilityfor thedeployment and release ofcontributed code and support the post-release lifecycle of our products.
Mentor and support other engineers onthe cloudteam in your areas of expertise.
Maintainfamiliarity with compliance standards mandated within a regulated medical device environment.
Contribute code to a medical device software for cloud connectivity including OTA (Over-the-air updates) Telemetry User Management MIoT (Medical Internet of Things) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) relay.

Knowledge Skill & Abilities:

Building modern cloud services on AWS GCP or Azure.
Backend web development including best software engineering practices efficient object-oriented software design and building modern back-end systems (Python).
Building and developing APIs and restful web services ( Flask/Nginx Docker PostgreSQL SQLAlchemy).
Front-end web development (Javascript Typescript) and modern frameworks (React).
Working with Product and UI/UX designers translating wireframes and requirements into web applications.

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Scienceor related field and8yearsof work experience; orMastersDegree in Computer Scienceand5 years ofwork experience; or equivalent work experience.
Prior experience working in a regulated environment preferred.

Physical Demands:

Top-notch written and communication skills in English.
Ability to take part in on-call rotation to maintain service uptime.
Ability to use and program a computer for 8 hours a day five days a week.

The annual base salary for this position is between $143500 - $165000. This position is also eligible for to participate in Hyperfines corporate bonus and equity plans. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skill set relevant experience qualifications location position level and other job-related reasons.
