This position is preferably based out of Calgary AB or Saskatoon SK for a 2026 internship beginning in May 2026 and will last approximately 12 weeks depending on candidate availability with the expected ending of the internship in late August or early September.

As a Global Security Intern you will support Nutriens Global Security team in gathering analyzing and communicating information that helps protect our people operations and assets across the globe. You will gain real-world experience applying intelligence analysis to business and security contexts in a global corporate environment.

What Youll Do:

  • Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and data collection to identify potential security risks or emerging global threats.
  • Assist in the development of country and regional risk assessments to support Nutriens global operations.
  • Monitor geopolitical environmental and social developments that may impact Nutriens business interests.
  • Analyze trends and prepare intelligence summaries briefings and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Support incident response and crisis management activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Health Safety & Security Risk HR and Corporate Affairs) to deliver actionable intelligence.
  • Participate in security technology and data projects leveraging tools like Power BI GIS or data visualization software.

What Youll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Global Security Homeland Security & Applied Intelligence Intelligence Studies or related field.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Experience or coursework in intelligence analysis threat assessment or geopolitical research preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSINT tools data visualization platforms or analytical software (e.g. Power BI Tableau ArcGIS) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curious collaborative and eager to learn in a dynamic global business environment.
