Position Overview
Madera Community Hospital is seeking aBoard Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologistto join our expanding medical staff. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care in a collaborative community-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering evidence-based digestive care while supporting program growth procedural access and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care including inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic services
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (EGD colonoscopy and related interventions)
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal and liver conditions
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists surgeons primary care providers and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in call coverage as required
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
- Maintain accurate timely and thorough clinical documentation
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM)
- Active California medical license or eligibility
- Strong commitment to mission-driven community-focused care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
