Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a qualified candidate for the Staff Accountant position in the Corporate Finance & Accounting Department. As an integral member of this dynamic office the ideal candidate exemplifies DPRs four core valuesintegrity uniqueness enjoyment and ever forwardand must have solid communication skills and a collaborative can-do attitude.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles
Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Assist in the month-end close process including journal entry preparations
Responsible for management of fixed assets including entering fixed assets to the subledger posting entries and reconciliation
Review corporate overhead spending for coding accuracy including follow up reconciling and resolving discrepancies
Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution
Partner with leadership to optimize use of technology to drive efficiencies
Perform special projects other ad-hoc duties as needed

Additional position requirements include the following:

Bachelors degree in accounting with 1-3 years experience
Experience with full-cycle accrual accounting utilizing a subledger/general ledger accounting system
Partnering with management by providing analysis from close processes
Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to confidentiality and handling of sensitive company information
Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution
Intermediate Excel skills
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently
Ability to identify and implement best practices think strategically plan for the long-term success of the organization and effectively delegate tasks
Have strong attention to detail processes a proactive approach to problem solving and task execution.
