Job Summary

Experience providing successful equity-centered library services and instruction to disproportionately impacted college or university students. 2. Demonstrated leadership in designing implementing and assessing online learning materials (e.g. learning objects videos guides modules) for information literacy instruction. 3. Current experience providing academic reference services and instruction in the use of print and online resources. 4. Successful experience teaching information literacy including credit courses orientations and workshops. 5. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively. 6. Commitment to examine reflect and modify library services and instruction practices to more effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with a goal of closing equity gaps (see Student Equity website at ). 7. Ability to contribute to the mission of the college. Qualifications
To be eligible for this position you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications: 1. Masters degree in library science or in library and information science; OR 2. Masters degree in library and information studies (approved comparable degree major at MiraCosta College); OR 3. the equivalent. Applicants who do not possess the EXACT degree major(s) required to meet the minimum qualifications must attach an equivalency narrative and supporting documentation at the time of application. Instructions can be found at ; OR 4. a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College credential authorizing instruction/service in the appropriate subject matter; AND 5. demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff.
