Position Details
University of Tampa Military Science and Leadership Department invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach American Military History.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Teach one 4-hour course per semester in American Military History from Colonial times to present.
2. Utilize department syllabus and course assignments with meeting times and specific reading and writing assignments for students within the departmental guidelines and program mission.

The successful candidate will have:
1. PhD in History (preferred); Masters Degree or military education equivalent in a history-related discipline required.
2. Previous military service is preferred.
3. Understanding of the key technological and tactical/doctrinal advances made over time in American military history and ability to articulate how those lessons apply to future military leaders.
4. College teaching experience in related field is preferred.
