Resolve Recruit is partnering with a key Commonwealth Government agency to find an experienced Senior ICT Adviser Digital Transformation.

Our client sits at the heart of Australias democracy supporting critical parliamentary operations through innovative technology platforms and digital capabilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide strategic leadership and specialist technology advice that will shape the digital future of a nationally significant institution. Youll work directly with senior executives to identify strategic priorities analyse current challenges and translate opportunities into actionable initiatives that enhance efficiency reduce risk and improve service delivery.

As a Senior ICT Adviser you will lead the development of a comprehensive technology roadmap undertake maturity assessments and provide expert guidance on investment prioritisation and capability uplift. Youll analyse business models market trends and emerging technologies to inform digital strategy and architecture decisions.

This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills as youll navigate competing priorities across a complex environment whilst also mentoring staff and facilitating knowledge transfer. Your insights will drive whole-of-government coordination of technology investment and enable the creation of a sustainable connected ecosystem of platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake environmental capability and maturity scans preparing strategic reports outlining key focus areas and investment priorities
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance on technology direction investment prioritisation and capability uplift ensuring alignment to best-practice principles
  • Lead analysis of business models market trends and technology advancements to determine impacts on digital strategy and architecture
  • Develop technology roadmaps identifying key digital capabilities platforms and investments required to enhance efficiency and customer experience
  • Manage consultation and negotiation with senior stakeholders navigating competing priorities in complex and dynamic environments
  • Uplift staff capability through on-the-job skills transfer mentoring and knowledge sharing

Key Experience and Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership capability and ability to form trusted relationships whilst influencing executive stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills including translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and producing strategic documents
  • Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies trends and their applicability across government including digital roadmaps and investment strategies
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align technology priorities with government strategic direction
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex challenges and propose actionable innovative solutions
  • Significant senior experience across federal state/local government and/or private sector enterprise environments

Security Requirements:

Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance (or higher) to be considered.
