Job Summary
Village Caregiving - Martinsburg is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide in-home care to clients in Charles Town this role you will assist clients with daily living activities to promote their comfort safety and independence in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
- Help with mobility and transferring to prevent injury and promote physical activity.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary guidelines.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry cleaning and organizing.
- Monitor clients health status and report any changes to the supervisory nurse or family members.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a caregiving role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for client care.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes.
- Pass background checks and meet any state certification requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Help clients take prescribed medication
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments walks etc.)
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
Do the clients shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cant complete on their own including preparing meals
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers nurses doctors and family members
Report any unusual incidents to nurses doctors and family members
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
REQUIREMENTS
Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
Outstanding communication time management and interpersonal skills
Physical endurance to complete required tasks
High school diploma or equivalent
