We specialize in technical process solutions for the plastics and bulk solids handling industries with expertise in pneumatic conveying rotary and diverter valves and plant design. Our site is a key hub for system design engineering testing and manufacturing.

We are now hiring our:

Safety Specialist

This role will report directly to the Global Field Service Leader Coperion GmbH. You will also be part of our global HSE team with a dotted line to the Regional Environmental Health and Safety Leader - EMEA.

Responsibilities:

• Support and advisethe Field Service team on all matters related tooccupational health safety and accident prevention.
• Perform dutiesas aSafety Specialist(m/f/d) according to 6 9 and 10 of the German Occupational Safety Act (ASiG).
• Maintain theOccupational Safety Management Systemin accordance withISO 45001 including participation in audits and conductinginternal auditsper ISOand 19011 standards.
• Conductconstruction site safety inspectionsandaccident analyses.
• Deliveremployee trainingsessions onwork safety.
• Contribute to thecreation and reviewofrisk assessmentswithin the Service department.
• Ensure thedocumentationof alloccupational safety measuresis accurate complete and up-to-date including all necessaryproofs and records.
• Manage theEPLAS safety softwarewithadministrative responsibilities.
• Providereportsto management and HSE responsible persons monitorKPIs.
• Collaborate withcustomers internal departments andexternal service providers.
• Act as theprocess ownerfor theSGA process (MAPS).

Requirements:

• Technical qualificationsuch as aTechnicianorMaster craftsman(m/f/d) or equivalent.
• Existingtraining as a Safety Specialistaccording to 7 ASiG or willingness to undertake thispart-time.
• Certification as anInternal Occupational Safety Auditor(ISO 45001 / 19011) or willingness toobtain certificationduring employment.
• Experience in Safety management in direct contact with Factory Field Serviceortechnical field service. Experience as a Field Service Engineer combined with a willingness to learn more about Safety could also be an asset.
• Experience in the petrochemical/ chemical industry would be appreciated given our activity in the plastics industry.
• Excellent knowledgeofGerman regulations and lawsrelated tooccupational safetyandfire protection.
• Structured and independentworking style.
• Experience inproject management andcommunication skills.
• Fluent in both German and English Proficiency inMS Officeapplications.
• Willingness totravelforfield assignments(up to10%) mainly within Germany.
