About the Branch:

The Infrastructure Development Branch (IDB) provides project management services to First Nations and municipalities throughout the Yukon on public infrastructure development initiatives. The branch provides services in three main areas of program delivery: Infrastructure Development Flood and Erosion control and Infrastructure Fund Administration. IDB manages the planning and prioritization of work design and construction for numerous types of infrastructure projects for the territory.

About the Position:

As a member of the Infrastructure Development branch reporting to the Manager Program Administration you will develop and maintain relationships with federal municipal and First Nations governments through collaborating on priorities funding applications and implementation of approved projects through transfer payment agreements. The Fund Agreement Administrator will liaise with Yukon government Directors and staff of other government departments to exchange information regarding projects. You will coordinate manage and support the activities of the federal/territorial infrastructure funding agreements including project intake and assessment monitoring budgets overseeing agreements and releasing progress payments. You will also be responsible for general administration such as developing and administering guidelines and procedures to support relevant committees and Yukon government departments.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary coursework in financial management public or business administration or related field.
  • Experience supporting or managing federal-territorial funding agreements or similar complex agreements.
  • Experience reviewing screening and processing project funding applications.
  • Experience providing advice and/or guidance to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or contributing to complex initiatives.
  • Experience working with municipal First Nation and/or other government entities would be considered an asset.

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be equally considered.
