Job Summary
Provides leadership and oversight of planning management evaluation and allocation of resources for the Districts Curriculum Office Institutional Effectiveness PLA faculty credentialing and workload. Provides support for the training and instructional support for curriculum development program review and program assessment of student learning outcomes for quality assurance of all programs. Oversees and provides direction to all staff to ensure efficient operations accurate reporting and clear communication. Provide visionary leadership for instructional support services and compliance initiatives for the District.

Responsible for the design execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient assets are safeguarded and financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws regulations policies and procedures.
Manages Talent Engagement activities for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection hiring and termination training development mentoring counseling and performance evaluations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide leadership for all instructional programs in the development implementation and maintenance of college curriculum matters in conformance with HCC state federal and accreditation policies and procedures. Includes oversight of third-party accreditations for all programs.
Provide leadership and development of a comprehensive instructional assessment program to support HCCs mission accreditation and strategic initiatives.
Provide leadership for the assurance of instructional quality related to faculty credentialing in conformance with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SASCOC) standards and faculty workloads in conformance with HCC policies and procedures.
Provide leadership in the development and execution of a centralized feedback program through graduate and employer surveys to identify educational needs and workforce curriculum development for program improvement.
Ensure the appropriate standards principles and rules of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and the Texas higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) are addressed.
Stay abreast of state and national developments in instructional innovations to ensure HCC maintains a leadership position nationwide.
Manage the development and maintenance of all appropriate and/or related contractual relationships.
Promote college efforts to develop relationships with external organizations in support of the Division of Instructional Services curriculum faculty credentialing and workload instructional assessment quality of instruction prior learning assessment and institutional effectiveness.
Collaborate with the Instructional Services Vice Chancellor to lead the college in strategic planning and institutional effectiveness processes for academic instruction. Develop strategic partnerships on behalf of the college to enhance the colleges abilities to meet student faculty and administration needs in the areas of technology training and learning methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Masters degree in Community College Leadership or in Curriculum and Instruction academic field or related discipline required
Doctorate preferred
8 years combined management experience in administration academic affairs program and curriculum development teaching instructional assessment accreditation special learning initiatives and departmental budgets in a community college/multi-college setting required; including 5 years supervision experience
