- Answer questions from participants regarding initial and continuing eligibility for income maintenance programs related to medical services.
- Gather verify evaluate and enter necessary social financial and medical information to determine the need and eligibility for medical assistance into various applications.
- Maintain complete and accurate computerized records of participant interactions including details of action taken and education provided.
- Perform a variety of diverse tasks while continuing to maintain currency and accuracy of program requirements.
- Ensure timely processing of participant inquiries/annual reviews to meet client needs and program mandates.
- Explain and interpret agency policy procedures and rules governing public assistance programs to clients and other individuals.
- Refer families children adults or aged receiving assistance to other agencies or community resources as necessary.
- Meet or exceed daily standards for performance accuracy customer service and quality.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Ability to operate a personal computer and use automated technology to establish and maintain case records.
- Ability to maintain accurate and systematic records to organize and prioritize the workload to meet assigned timeframes.
- Skill in handling client behaviors such as fear hostility and aggression.
- Ability to adapt to changes in policy procedures and work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with applicants recipients the public and other employees.
Operation Details:
- Hours during paid training are 8:00-4:30 CST Must be able to work at Popular Bluff location M-F. Not eligible for remote work during training period.
- Initial training period spans 6-8 weeks.
- Time off requests cannot be accommodated during the training period.
- Pay Rate: $16 per hour with full benefits after 60 days (Insurance PTO Sick Leave Holiday Pay and 401k option)
Background Check & Drug Screen Clearance
- An extensive background check of all associates will be conducted.
- Approval to work will not be made for individuals found guilty pled guilty or convicted of a felony substance-related offense within the past 5 years; perjury false statements fraud or anyone who will negatively affect public confidence.
- Drug Screening - Applicants must complete a 10-point urinalysis drug screen.
