General Description/Primary Purpose:

The School of Communication is seeking a 9-month non-tenure earning Visiting Instructor of Communication. Position responsibilities include a teaching load of four courses in fall 2026 and four courses in spring 2027 as assigned by the Department Chair. Some of the courses most needed are MMC 1004-Media Literacy MMC 4403-Mass Communication Research & Theory MMC 3342-Content Creation Tools COM 4561-Strategic Social Media MMC 4732-Social Media Management COM 4373-Consequences of Cyberculture and ADV 3812-Integrated Marketing Communication.

Supervisor: This position will report to the Director of the School of Communication.

Working Hours: Varies

Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.

Required Licensure: N/A

Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3 2026.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in the discipline or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

  • Doctorate Degree in the discipline or closely related field

  • Professional experience in mass communication and social media is a plus
