Job Overview
XPECT Solutionsis looking for aJuniorNetwork Engineer on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Huntsville ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for our large federal government agencys highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.
Core Responsibilities
- Gather user network requirements utilizing multiple methodologies to provide necessary technical documentation system requirements documents systems security requirements documents and system test plan.
- Install maintain and evaluate network systems and communications systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues involving various protocols topologies networking hardware etc.
- Utilize knowledge of inter-networking computer systems routers switches firewalls and peripherals to enhance understanding of current network designs and to collaborate with other team members
- Work independently and collectively to help improve network solutions and contribute to network service improvements.
Requirements
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
- A Counter Intelligence Polygraph is required after start.
- 3 years of experience designing developing and implementing network solutions.
- Experience configuring switches and routers.
- Experience with configuring from the CLI
- Experience with IT Ticketing systems (Jira ServiceNow etc)
- Experience providing Tier 2 3 or 4 troubleshooting and support.
- Experience in classified and unclassified network environments
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant field
- CCNA Certification
