Role Specifics and Benefits
As the OR Tech your daily responsibilities will center on supporting the surgical team with instrument preparation aseptic technique patient positioning room turnover and the safe passage of instruments during procedures. Youll:
- Safely prepare and arrange sterile trays implants and supplies for a broad range of surgeries ensuring all equipment is available and in pristine condition.
- Assist surgeons anesthesiologists and nursing staff by passing instruments maintaining sterile fields and anticipating the needs of the team to optimize efficiency and patient safety.
- Monitor counts manage specimen labeling handle suction and irrigation and support meticulous documentation to uphold regulatory and quality standards.
- Help manage OR flow by coordinating turnover times room readiness and equipment checks contributing to minimized delays and enhanced patient experience.
- Maintain a proactive posture toward professional growth within the perioperative spectrum leveraging opportunities to observe learn and expand competencies in specialty procedures.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient safety infection control and compliance with hospital policies and best practices in perioperative care.
