Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract and provide support across Infrastructure Systems and Cyber Security. You will have the unique opportunity to work alongside a high performing team and deepen your experience in this varied role. You will be supporting the team in the design implementation and maintenance of core technology infrastructure ensuring high performance security and reliability across network server and cloud environments.

You will provide crucial support to our team in infrastructure stability and security ensuring our systems and networks operate seamlessly to support business-critical operations.

What Youll Do

• Platform Administration (Systems & Cloud):
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments including patching and performance tuning.
  • Administer Active Directory DNS DHCP and virtualisation platforms (VMware Hyper-V).
  • Design and manage resources in AWS Azure or GCP leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform Ansible).
• Network Engineering:
  • Configure monitor and troubleshoot routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
  • Optimise WAN LAN and WLAN connectivity and performance.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure components.
  • Manage security tools (IDPS SIEM endpoint protection) and conduct regular audits.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.

What Youll Bring

You will be customer focused have a willingness to learn and contribute to a small team and be flexible in your approach. We are ideally seeking candidates who meet most of the following;

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent practical experience;
• Demonstrated experience in an IT infrastructure role (hybrid environments);
• Expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration scripting (PowerShell Bash Python);
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP OSPF BGP) and enterprise hardware configuration;
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP);
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles (essential);
• Certifications such as CCNP CISSP or AWS/Azure credentials are highly desirable; and
• Recent National Police Clearance (within 2 months).
