JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Site Leader the Senior Manager Process Improvement (Lean Leader) is responsible for leading the deployment of the Site Operation Excellence (Pathway to Excellence Lean Business Operation System) at SPX Flow. This role develops a culture of Operational Excellence (OPEX) and Continuous Improvement provides technical support and coaching and grows process improvement capabilities across the business.
The position requires strong leadership and technical OPEX skills including 5S Deployment Visual Management Value Stream Mapping SMED TPM and Six Sigma methodologies.
The Senior Manager drives change management communicates effectively across the organization collaborates to achieve performance targets and shares best practices. The role also includes direct report leadership and development.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pathway to Excellence (PTE) Deployment: Develop and refine the PTE Deployment Plan across all maturity levels ensuring alignment with strategic objectives for all processes and product lines.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead and sustain programs to achieve and maintain BASELINE STABILIZE IMPROVE and EXCELLENCE maturity levels of the PTE System including 5S Visual Management Standardized Work Performance Metrics Problem Solving Kaizen SMED TPM Value Stream Mapping Inventory Management S&OP/SIOP Strategy Deployment Benchmarking and Organizational Development.
- Site Maturity Assessments: Conduct PTE site maturity audits as directed by Site and OPEX leadership.
- Waste Elimination: Identify and eliminate process waste driving a cultural shift for sustainable results.
- Operations Support: Assist Operations Management with production activity measurement data analysis trend identification and project establishment for continuous improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Projects: Utilize DMAIC methodology and tools to lead and execute improvement projects closing business performance gaps.
- OPEX Culture: Organize and facilitate OPEX events ensuring accountability and adherence to standards at all organizational levels.
- Cost Reduction: Identify cost reduction and long-term improvement opportunities.
- Training & Capability Development: Train site personnel on OPEX standards and develop OPEX/PTE capability.
- CAPEX control and budget set ups
- Six Sigma Deployment: Mentor teams in Six Sigma methodology deployment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Support capital requests footprint transformations and capacity planning; build strong relationships across the company.
- Kaizen & Improvement Events: Plan and manage Kaizen and other improvement activities to reduce costs improve delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Talent Development: Recommend personnel for further OPEX training and opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide team members supporting their professional development and ownership of responsibilities.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic and annual planning processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in OPEX-related discipline (engineering operations management business etc.).
- Operational Excellence training/certification (Six Sigma Black Belt Lean Continuous Improvement etc.).
- 5 years of experience leading manufacturing/business organizations in Operational Excellence deployment preferably in manufacturing (fabrication assembly testing).
- Experience in Lean and Six Sigma deployment (Value Stream Mapping Kaizen Cellular Flow SMED Kanban Hoshin Visual Controls 6S).
- Proven track record of continuous improvement with sustained outcomes.
- Advanced computer skills (Excel PowerPoint etc.) a plus.
- Leadership development program completion desirable.
- At least 5 years of Lean leadership experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard office equipment use; regular sitting occasional standing/walking/lifting (up to 25 lbs). PPE required. Manufacturing office environment; possible exposure to fumes mechanical parts vibration loud noise on production floor. Moderate office noise level. Up to 25% travel for training and events.

Anticipated salary range for this position: $112400/yr. to $156380/yr. The anticipated salary range is what we believe to be the likely base salary range for this position at the time of posting. Actual salary for this position will depend on relevant qualifications skills and experience.
