Job Summary

Must-Have (Non-Negotiable)

8 years in enterprise infrastructure / systems engineering roles
Strong RedHat Linux administration (on-prem) build patching hardening performance tuning
Solid understanding of network fundamentals:
- IP DNS DHCP ports
- AuthN/AuthZ privileges
- Routers switches firewalls segmentation
Proven experience troubleshooting end-to-end issues:
- OS application network stack
NYC local candidate willing to work 5 days onsite
Hands-on with VMware environments
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Nagios Splunk Grafana)

Strong Value-Adds

Scripting in Python / Perl / PowerShell (any one is sufficient)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (infra automation deployment workflows)
Working knowledge of SQL Server or Sybase (infra-level support not DBA)
Familiarity with security tooling: VPN IDS/IPS firewalls
