Job Title: General Assembly Technician
Department: Manufacturing / Operations
Reports To: Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Location: Riverside CA - Onsite
Shift: 1st Shift
Position Summary:
Assemble mechanical electrical body and interior systems to complete vehicle builds. Follow drawings work instructions and BOMs to meet safety quality and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Assembly: Install brackets doors seating HVAC suspension/steering parts; perform torque-controlled fastening and basic alignment/fit checks.

Electrical Assembly: Route secure and terminate wiring/harnesses; install switches lights sensors batteries and control modules; perform basic continuity/functional checks.

Body/Composites: Install panels roof caps access doors insulation and trim; drill bond and seal; conduct minor surface prep/finishing.

Interiors: Build and install flooring walls cabinetry panels seating mounts and trim using wood laminates composites and light metals.

General: Use hand/power tools jigs and measuring devices; apply sealants/adhesives; clean and prepare units for next operations.

Quality & Documentation: Follow work instructions and torque specs; complete in-process checks and required paperwork; support rework and corrective actions; maintain 5S.

Safety & Teamwork: Follow PPE/LOTO rules; report hazards; collaborate with Production Engineering and Quality to meet schedule.
Qualifications:

2 years in manufacturing vehicle assembly or related skilled trades.
-
Able to read engineering drawings/schematics and follow written instructions in English.

Proficient with hand/power tools and basic measuring equipment.
-
Basic electrical assembly skills (crimping stripping connector installation).
-
Reliable detail-oriented and team-focused.
Preferred Experience:
-
Transit bus shuttle truck RV or specialty vehicle assembly.
-
Working with fiberglass/composites adhesives and sealants.
-
Familiarity with lean/continuous improvement methods.
Physical Requirements:
-
Stand bend kneel and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
-
Lift up to 40 lbs (with/without assistance).
-
Work on elevated platforms or inside vehicle structures as required.
