EnglishBhashi is an AI-driven EdTech startup simplifying language learning through gamification personalization and real user insights. We are building our early founding team and were looking for a Data Engineer Intern who wants hands-on exposure to real-world data systems product analytics and startup-scale decision-making.

This is not a dummy internship. Youll work on live data real dashboards and production pipelines.

What You Will Work On (Hands-on Responsibilities)

1. Data Collection & Pipelines

• Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
  
  

• Help ingest data from:
  
  

• App & web product events
  
  

• Analytics tools (Mixpanel / Amplitude / GA4)
  
  

• Engagement platforms (CleverTap / MoEngage)
  
  

2. Event Tracking & Analytics Support

• Support event tracking setup and validation.
  
  

• Help document event schemas and naming conventions.
  
  

• Assist in debugging missing or incorrect data.
  
  

3. Data Warehouse & SQL

• Work with a central data warehouse (BigQuery / Postgres / similar).
  
  

• Write SQL queries to support analysis and reporting.
  
  

• Help optimize queries for performance.
  
  

4. BI & Dashboards (Metabase Exposure)

• Build and maintain dashboards in Metabase.
  
  

• Help product & growth teams with ad-hoc data queries.
  
  

• Learn how self-serve analytics works in startups.
  
  

5. Data Quality & Reliability

• Assist in data checks validation and monitoring.
  
  

• Support backfills and pipeline fixes.
  
  

• Learn best practices for data hygiene and reliability.
  
  

6. Founder-Mindset Learning

Who Should Apply

Must-Have

• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
  
  

• Familiarity with Python (for data handling).
  
  

• Understanding of data concepts (ETL events schemas pipelines).
  
  

• Willingness to learn and work on real production data.
  
  

Good to Have

• Exposure to analytics tools: Mixpanel Amplitude GA4
  
  

• Familiarity with BI tools like Metabase
  
  

• Knowledge of product metrics (DAU funnels retention)
